For MAPS Logistics, time is money. But so is trust. MAPS is a logistics company that provides courier services and delivers high volumes of parcels throughout the United Kingdom. Their top priority is fulfilling their clients’ delivery orders by employing highly trained drivers. MAPS needs drivers who can handle a high volume of daily deliveries, without compromising safety. Candidate no-shows result in wasted time and resources

Aditya Velamakanni, director of MAPS Logistics, oversees the screening, hiring, and training of 2,000 of these delivery drivers each year. He knows the job of a delivery driver isn’t an easy one. It requires jumping in and out of the van in all weather conditions and delivering up to 200 packages a day.

Competitive pool of drivers

There is a limited supply of available drivers, and competition among other delivery companies is high. Aditya advertises job postings on several job board sites like Indeed, as well as social media sites like Facebook and Instagram. To produce the highest number of qualified candidates, he needs to know where to focus his sourcing budget.

Too much time spent on manual tasks

Ghosting isn’t just impolite, it’s a time suck. For Aditya, when candidates don’t respond to messages or show up for interviews it means critical time is wasted. Time that could be spent on other important tasks. He needs a solution to keep candidates engaged in the recruitment process to reduce the amount of wasted time.

Ineffective recruitment tools

When candidates fall out of communication, it’s not always purposeful. Sometimes it’s a clear indication of process inefficiencies. If they don’t meet the criteria, they’re automatically rejected. No manual intervention needed.

Fountain’s calendar integration enables candidates to select interview times that are provided based on Aditya’s availability. To reduce candidate no-shows, Fountain automatically sends text and email reminders to the candidate at specific times prior to the interview. If the candidate’s availability changes, they can easily reschedule the interview.
